Our theme that was given to us was Building respect for diversity and removing barriers to racial and social equity and to empower those communities and we implented that theme into our project by doing a collabration with Welfare Avenue.
I'm the content designer at Welfare Avenue whish is a non-profit student organization and when we got our themes for capython I suggested the idea to my teamates that we could collabrate with them. I provided the resources, set up the meeting with out team memeberes and my Welfare Avenue Team. A part of that, I shot the content from the circle to the church of Montreal. While shooting, Kurt, Myriam, Victoria and I all gave sandwish and food to the homeless in Montreal. We also talked about the homeless and their struggle living in an unhoused environment. I also posted the video in the Welfare Avenues page and manage the social media, analyzing the video trying to reach the maximal amount of people.
My team and I chose two Capiskills. They are NGE.3.1: Interact and participate effectivaly with others, and HOS.1.1: Manage tasks and deadlines. As a team, it was important to be able to communicate our ideas in a respectful and clear way due to the nature of the project and it was important to manage our time effectively to meet the deadlines.
I'd say that the team started at a level 10 for HOS.1.1 and a level 6 for NGE.3.1.From the start everyone was ready to do their part and to do it on time. We helped eachother with any issues we had to be able to meet the deadline which ended up helping us. However, we did have some issues with NGE.3.1. We had some disagreements on how to approach the project and how to present it. We were able to resolve it by talking it out and coming to a compromise.
I'd say that we ended at a level 11 for HOS.1.1 and a level 8 for NGE.3.1. We maintained our discipline for our time management and as the project went on our communication skills got better with eachtother.
